Coordination

Welding Coordination, (name as ISCIR: Technical manager welding) the duties and responsibilities of the engineer coordinator of welding are covered in the SR EN 719 stating: "Welding is a special welding operations that require coordination in order to trust manufacture by welding, and to achieve product reliability in service. Tasks and responsibilities of personnel involved in activities related to welding, for example: planning, execution, supervision and inspection must be clearly defined.

This standard presents the quality for welding of metallic materials.
The certification capability of firms to run metal construction is welded together with National Research - Development for Welding and Material Testing - ISIM Timisoara.

Welders

Conditions for certification of qualification of welders (name as ISCIR: authorization welders) are specified in SR EN 287.
Approval of welders is made for:
a) Materials:
1. Steel: EN 287-l;
2. Aluminum: SR EN 287 - 2;
b) The welding:
1. Arc welding with coated electrodes: 111 - MMA;
2. Welding arc of active gas medium: 135 - MAG;
3. Welding arc inert gas shielded environment: 131 - MIG;
4. Welding in protective inert gas medium tungsten electrode: 141-WIG;
5. Oxyacetylene welding: 311 - OA.

Approval

SR EN ISO 15614 specifies requirements for qualification of welding procedures (designation according ISCIR: approval procedures) welding processes for qualification procedures covered are:
1. 111 - MMA (Manual Metal Arc);
2. 135 - MAG (Metal Active Gas);
3. 131 - MIG (Metal Inert Gas);
4. 141 - TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas);
5. 311 - OA (oxy-acetylene).
